The city effect
The same job does not cost the same everywhere — the simulator applies this coefficient automatically.
Making the most of your estimate
Always get 3 quotes
A 20–30% gap between artisans is normal. Compare the itemised work, not just the total.
Check what is included
Materials, rubble removal, surface preparation: these items often explain the gap between two quotes.
Beware of the lowest bid
A quote far below market usually hides poor-quality materials or missing line items.
Insist on a written quote
Itemised, dated and signed: it is your only protection if the final amount is disputed.
Frequently asked questions
How is the estimate calculated?
We start from a reference rate grid per trade (price per m², per point, per day…), then apply the chosen finish level, a coefficient specific to your city and, for an urgent job, a premium. Once enough comparable jobs have been published on 7rafti, the estimate is corrected using the prices actually observed.
Is the estimate a quote?
No. It is an indicative range meant to help you plan a budget and spot an unusually high or low quote. Only an artisan, after visiting the site, can commit to a firm price.
Do the prices include materials?
Yes by default: the displayed rates cover both materials and labour. Switch on "Labour only" if you buy the materials yourself.
Why do prices vary by city?
Labour costs, transport and demand pressure differ from one city to another. Casablanca and Rabat sit above the national average, while cities such as Oujda, Taza or Ouarzazate sit below it.
Do the rates include VAT?
No, every amount is exclusive of tax. A VAT-registered artisan will add VAT at the applicable rate on their quote.
